Craft Room Cleanup Giveaway: Spring Supplies

At the end of October, my craft room looked like this...

A big, embarrassing hot mess, I know. Slowly I have been sorting through everything and purging old supplies that I no longer need. Here is what it looks like right now...

It's slowly getting better and I am starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I wish that I had made more progress over the last three months but things have been hectic with work, travel and the holidays. Also, to be honest I've been struggling a bit since I had my little incident before Christmas and find myself constantly tired. I'm hoping to figure out what is wrong and be back to my old self soon.

Anyway, as I have mentioned before my craft supply hoarding problem is your gain because as I sort through all of my supplies and figure out what I don't really need I am giving them away. Because it is snowing here and I am yearning for spring this particular giveaway box is loaded up with spring goodies. I've got lots of papers (over 100 sheets) for scrapbooking or card making as well as a bunch of embellishments like buttons, stickers, chipboard letters, etc. I have some items that are specifically spring related as well as some non themed items that fit with the colors of the rest of the box. Below is a sampling of some of what is included.

All you have to do to enter is comment on this post telling me a favorite memory about spring or what you enjoy about the season.

You can submit additional entries with separate posts doing one of the following:

You are making great headway in your craft room. I need to get into mine and work on making some cards. One of my goals this year was to send more handwritten letters and cards to friends. I think it's really a lost art with the advent of email, texting, etc. I've now used up my stash and must make more!

Oh man - I can totally relate!! Our office/craft room looked like this just a week ago. I barely got it cleaned up. My favorite memory of spring: When I was younger, I loved it when all of the birds came back and started singing in the morning! It let me know that warmer weather was just right around the corner.

I love spring. The reason why is because I can start counting down the days till we get fresh homegrown tomatoes!
I also love all of the flowers that bloom in spring. And, school is out soon which is great!
Love your blog Lisa!

Hi Lisa,
Where did you get the bookcases on the bottom that organizes all the colored paper?

I do not like cold weather...need I say more ;-0 Anyway, one of my favorite memories of spring happened a few years ago. It had been a very cold winter and I just felt like that cold feeling was in my bones. I was driving and realized that it was about 60 degrees. I opened the car window and when the warm air hit my face my eyes got a bit teary eyed. I had waited all winter for warmer weather and the sense of feeling alive again. Spring was approaching and I was more than ready to welcome warmer days. Yep, my fave memory so far ;-)

I don't want to make all of you northerners jealous, but we're having spring weather here in Florida already. We're getting up into the lower 80's in the next few days, then we'll dip back down to our normal highs in the 70's for the rest of the week. What I like about these unseasonably warm days is that I can open up the house and enjoy the fresh air without my allergies kicking in like they normally do when the weather gets nice.

Thank you all for sharing your spring memories!

Justin- I bought the two literature holders at the Ann Arbor ReUse Center for $10 each. They were a yucky brownish tan color so I just spray painted it all white.

Mel- I am so glad that you liked the Travel goodies! I hope you have fun using everything!
